Simply by Dominique
My daughter and I attended the Mom Expo in The Woodlands last weekend, and we had the great pleasure of meeting the owner of SIMPLY… by Dominique, a home-based bakery specializing in allergen-free, gluten-free, and preservative-free baking.
Not surprisingly, the stunning display of cookies, cupcakes, muffins, cakes and brownies charmed my daughter immediately. She made a beeline past the other booths and had her hand in the cookie jar before I even knew what was happening.
I’ve got to hand it to my daughter, she has good taste. The peanut butter cookies, which are actually nut-free, tasted even better than they looked. The fact that they are made from sunflower seeds, grass-fed butter, and gluten-free flour and contain no artificial ingredients is just the icing on the cake. (Pun intended.)
Chatting with the founder, Dominique (who happens to live just a few blocks away from me), I could tell immediately that she is passionate about health and SIMPLY wants all of her customers to have the opportunity to enjoy safe and tasty treats without sacrificing quality, texture or taste.
Historically, my complaint about gluten-free baked goods is they end up tasting stale and dry and ultimately end up crumbling in my hand before I’ve had a chance to enjoy them. Dominique has managed to find a way around this. Her customers can have their rich and flavorful cakes and eat them, too.
Dominique bakes with gluten-free ingredients, as well as dairy-free, grain-free and sugar-free alternatives. Additionally, everything she creates can be made corn, nut, grain, dairy and egg free. There are no preservatives or additives, and many products include the added benefits of flax meal, chia seeds and hemp hearts.
SIMPLY… by Dominique is perfect for the health-conscious demographic in The Woodlands. And I think I can speak for my daughter when I say Dominique’s allergen-free treats are kid approved.
